Hey guys, here is an update i received the fiber cut is still being worked on with XO, our DID's we have with peerless is working correctly the issue was most likely from verizon going into peerless over that fiber? and once Verizon re-routed now everything is working from verizon during that Verizon issue, ATT and T-Mobile still worked which leads to believe it was verizon's end that needed rerouting peerless does have any issues on their end On Fri, Aug 21, 2015 at 10:26 AM, Seth Mattinen via Outages < outages@outages.org> wrote:

peerless network reporting MAJOR outage, 10 gig waves is down due to a fiber cut issue is effecting most of the east cost from Chicago to NYC
the carrier providing the fiber, is XO its a long haul back bone
Charter is reporting the same. I saw performance take a dive with approx 20-60% packet loss starting at 06:17 Pacific time on traffic destined towards the US West Coast.
