Still believe an RFO is relevant to this forum. :) From: outages-bounces@outages.org [mailto:outages-bounces@outages.org] On Behalf Of Carlos Alvarez Sent: Tuesday, September 11, 2012 7:47 PM To: outages@outages.org Subject: Re: [outages] Godaddy / Premium DNS outage? Please join the discussion list and <ahem> discuss it there. Many of us are here to learn of service-impacting or customer-impacting events that result in action immediately. The knowledge of this event helped us close several tickets yesterday. I simply don't care one bit why it happened, it doesn't affect our company or our customers in any way. The pollution on this EVENTS list makes it worth a lot less, and discourages people being on it. One of these is a more technical understanding of what took place which should be posted soon. Once published, I will share with the group. What a bunch of FUD ... I hope that on a list of network professionals we can put that sort of speculation to rest.
Amen to that. Beyond, let's wait until further information comes out instead of jumping on finger pointing trying to "force" a vendor to defend against unsubstantiated claims about a handful of files from 2010 and '302' responses on some SQLi attempts. Also, perhaps a thread can be posted to 'outages-discussion' for followup on whether or not you believe GoDaddy's claims, and to discuss some credible information that might exist to the contrary, rather than in 'outages' proper. _______________________________________________ Outages mailing list Outages@outages.org<mailto:Outages@outages.org> https://puck.nether.net/mailman/listinfo/outages _______________________________________________ Outages mailing list Outages@outages.org<mailto:Outages@outages.org> https://puck.nether.net/mailman/listinfo/outages ________________________________ _______________________________________________ Outages mailing list Outages@outages.org<mailto:Outages@outages.org> https://puck.nether.net/mailman/listinfo/outages _______________________________________________ Outages mailing list Outages@outages.org<mailto:Outages@outages.org> https://puck.nether.net/mailman/listinfo/outages -- Carlos Alvarez TelEvolve 602-889-3003<tel:602-889-3003> Confidentiality Warning: This e-mail contains information intended only for the use of the individual or entity named above.
