Right... because one VoIP provider getting DDOS'ed means that the entire national phone system is under attack. That would be the equivalent of some kid smashing a Bell-owned payphone back in the 1990's. It causes a denial of service for would-be users of that phone, but it's not like the entire phone network goes down with it. I wonder when the FCC is going to step in here and force VI to build a more robust network or just pull their license to operate altogether? Eventually this starts to become a matter of national security as basically our national phone system is under attack by possibly foreign agents.

Update to their public ticket on this:
- *3/16/2016 11:42:00 AM -- by RandyS* - We are aware that the VI network has again been under DDoS attack and that inbound and outbound calling and other VI services have been affected. Many of you voiced concern over lack of updates on this ticket. We are concerned with the possibility that the perpetrator(s) of this attack! may have access to public ticket updates and have therefore chosen to limit the information we put herein. Please know that we have made significant changes to prevent this and are continuing to address even this latest attack. We are not able to share additional information at this time due to the aforementioned concerns. We will provide details and include an RFO at a later date.

This has been discussed on the voip_operators-group listserv, too. They had issues early in March for a few days ( http://blog.voipinnovations.com/blog/updates-on-recent-network-outages), March 11, and now again today.

Seeing down as well. Inbound calls are working some of the time, but many are dropping after the line is answered. Getting nothing from their web site either - time outs.

Inbound calling through VoIP Innovations appears to be down, as is their backoffice website, and their toll free number for support. I have no further details.
