You can have two Verizon phones right next to each other, one will be denied access when trying to attach to Verizon's wireless network completely and will display SOS Only or No Service while the other works as normal. Additionally, one of my lines can attach to Verizon's 4G LTE network just fine but gets rejected from attaching to their 5G NR standalone network. I am traveling at the moment and unfortunately do not have a Verizon-compatible phone with me that is capable of displaying signaling traces from its baseband. Not sure if it's related but certainly noteworthy - a dozen of us noticed the bars/speed are much much slower and dropping to SOS. Could just be bad timing. I wouldn't call it an outage but it's definitely slower than usual.
