ISPs all over the country are getting flooded with tech-support calls from customers claiming their Internet is slow or down. It’s actually a Netflix issue which seems to be caused by millions of people trying to watch the Mike Tyson and Jake Paul fight. -- *Doug Roberts* <http://cytranet.com/> _______________________________________________ Outages mailing list Outages@outages.org https://puck.nether.net/mailman/listinfo/outages

It fails to show the live event when the client picks mine (which I know to be serving large amounts of data, but well within its capacity, and serves other content just fine), or that of one of my upstreams. But other caches work fine.

I experienced this. It seems Netflix wasn't up to the task of live streaming the fight. While the live stream was stuttering or failing entirely to load, other Netflix programming seemed to work just fine. On the bright side, if you couldn't get the live stream to work, and only wanted to watch the main event, you missed nothing. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Jon Lewis, MCP :) | I route Blue Stream Fiber, Sr. Neteng | therefore you are _________ http://www.lewis.org/~jlewis/pgp for PGP public key_________ _______________________________________________ Outages mailing list Outages@outages.org https://puck.nether.net/mailman/listinfo/outages

This reminds me of why I do not miss working for providers who offer residential service. -richey .....

Must’ve lucked out. We had no complaints last night. Ironically our local cache is being upgraded tomorrow. Had a normal load last night too.

We had no complaints but we had plenty of bandwidth. Didn't even peak out last night. Mostly residential. On Sat, Nov 16, 2024, 10:44 AM Jason Canady via Outages <outages@outages.org> wrote:
