We're seeing multiple regions go down here at Workday, and downdector is lighting up. Cloudflare having another set of global issues? Or did the internet break?

Wonder if it was mostly west coast? Any2LA peering fabric just suffered a broadcast storm due to a loop. They just reset it so things are back to normal now. -Mike

The outage is limited to BYOIP (Bring Your Own IP) customers. An internal change appears to have removed BGP advertisements for these customers. On Fri, Feb 20, 2026 at 11:17 AM Mike Lyon <mike.lyon@gmail.com> wrote:

Trying to be brief on the main list, but heard from a VoIP provider impacted by this that the routes Cloudflare was supposed to advertise on their behalf just kept going away, so if you're impacted and you're running services through this "advanced" DDoS protection, I guess that's something to look at - see if your prefixes are visible in a few looking glasses... We experienced a churn at our LAX anycast location, but it looked like it was related to Hurricane Electric IPv6. It looks like the Internet broke. We're seeing issues at One Wilshire, doesn't seem to be related to Cloudflare. Things seem to be coming back. -- Jay Hennigan - jay@west.net Network Engineering - CCIE #7880 503 897-8550 - WB6RDV

The current global routing table is around 1 million ipv4 routes. I suspect a lot of peoples gear is not happy about that and the large amount of prefixes announced by cloudflare could have put systems into an exception state. ________________________________ From: Jay Hennigan via Outages <outages@outages.org> Sent: Friday, February 20, 2026 12:51 PM To: outages@outages.org <outages@outages.org> Cc: jay@west.net <jay@west.net> Subject: [Outages] Re: Cloudflare down again?
