514 / Quebec outage (incoming local numbers and toll free calls)
We are getting complaints from a number of clients that their 514 numbers are not working (ringing busy) and that their toll free numbers are not able to receive calls from Quebec. One of the clients mentioned that there is a Bell fibre cut. We’ve opened a ticket with the underlying carrier but wanted to check if any anyone is aware of any active outages? I am able to reach 514 area code numbers via Iristel trunks, and do not have any customer reports at this time for 514 numbers unable to be reached. Looks like it’s limited to Zayo. We CICd a Toll Free number to another carrier to test and it’s able to receive calls now. No update from Zayo/Allstream SIP team. Hey everyone, There is currently a major incident at Bell with a transport/wavelength being impacted. We believe that Allstream/Zayo is impacted by the link failure and by a side effect, their SIP/Telephony platform is currently experiencing severe issues.
