for those not in LA: fire vs. power lines

Hello... FYI for those not seeing the Los Angeles fires on the news constantly. http://www.ladwpnews.com/go/doc/1475/318099/ The Station Fire has the potential to cross and affect the Department's 500 KV transmission lines northeast of the Acton area today. These high-voltage power lines are critical to maintaining a steady supply of power to the city, especially as demand for energy rises throughout the day. To make up for the potential loss of power transmission, the LADWP has activated all in-basin power plants in order to generate energy. -- Christopher McCrory "The guy that keeps the servers running" chrismcc@pricegrabber.com http://www.pricegrabber.com Let's face it, there's no Hollow Earth, no robots, and no 'mute rays.' And even if there were, waxed paper is no defense. I tried it. Only tinfoil works.
