I started to fill it out but as a out-of-work-but-still-interested-in-the-world ex-admin I really could not contribute much, and could not answer some of the questions honestly (and it seems like it nagged at me for leaving blanks). so, I should probably be left out of the base.
For any further questions, please e-mail your inquiries to admin@outages.org.

I'm probably not able to give you the right sort of feedback as I'm a freelance admin and work with a bunch of small operators, none of which are more than a couple racks each. The list is useful because I can pass on operational warnings to my customer's tech guys.

From looking at the survey, I'm not actually surprised... The survey appears to assume a certain type of organization, where the subscriber to this list has a vision of the entire technical stance available to them.
I suspect there are more than a few people here who aren't in that type of organization, or who only have a vision of part of their company's technical stance, or who aren't allowed to talk about all of it without higher-level approval. I'm in more than one of those categories myself. Daniel T. Staal --------------------------------------------------------------- This email copyright the author. I imagine there would be more responses if it was completely anonymous. Just the idea of having to put personal/work info into the form made me think twice. jas

All - Kindly DO NOT respond to the list. Trying to minimise the noise :) regards, /virendra

I run an ITSP, so much of the survey doesn't apply to me. I'm on the list because some outages affect our customers and it's useful to know before they call. I know there are others here who work for companies like mine. -- Carlos Alvarez TelEvolve 602-889-3003
