It took a week, but it's now fixed. I reached out (repeatedly) to both Turner and XO, and one of those two likely fixed it. Something between hop 7 and 8 was likely the culprit. root@nagios:~# tcptraceroute6 ipv6.cnn.com traceroute to ipv6.cnn.com (2620:100:e000::8001) from 2607:fe28:0:1003:223:7dff:fe93:4bbf, port 80, from port 52967, 30 hops max, 60 bytes packets 1 2607:fe28:0:1003::1 (2607:fe28:0:1003::1) 0.239 ms 0.195 ms 0.199 ms 2 sxct.sxcy.mtcnet.net (2607:fe28:11:1002::197) 0.459 ms 0.314 ms 0.294 ms 3 2001:5f8:7f06::5 (2001:5f8:7f06::5) 4.597 ms 3.561 ms 3.323 ms 4 v6-ins-db1-et-11-8-204.desm.netins.net (2001:5f8:1:1::1) 6.134 ms 5.902 ms 6.004 ms 5 v6-ins-dc1-et-8-2.desm.netins.net (2001:5f8::1:1) 7.160 ms 7.669 ms 7.329 ms 6 2001:428:3801:210:0:1:0:1 (2001:428:3801:210:0:1:0:1) 19.507 ms 21.796 ms 19.375 ms 7 2001:428:0:1:205:171:202:246 (2001:428:0:1:205:171:202:246) 88.699 ms 42.230 ms 66.531 ms 8 mcr1.smyrna-ga.us.xo.net (2610:18::3050) 61.217 ms 61.796 ms 61.443 ms 9 2620:100:e000:8::d (2620:100:e000:8::d) 64.655 ms 63.589 ms 63.969 ms 10 2620:100:e000:8::5 (2620:100:e000:8::5) 62.871 ms 63.513 ms 62.898 ms 11 2620:100:e000:8::6 (2620:100:e000:8::6) 63.976 ms 63.575 ms * 12 2620:100:e000::8001 (2620:100:e000::8001) 62.994 ms [open] * 63.140 ms [open] root@nagios:~# Frank -----Original Message----- From: outages-bounces@outages.org [mailto:outages-bounces@outages.org] On Behalf Of Frank Bulk Sent: Wednesday, March 02, 2011 12:54 PM To: 'Mark Kamichoff' Cc: outages@outages.org Subject: Re: [outages] Access to ipv6.cnn.com Thanks.
