For several hours now, I have been getting connections refused, connection timeouts, and the occasional "421 #4.4.5 Too many connections to this host." for SMTP connections to smtp.secureserver.net and mailstore1.secureserver.net. Is anybody else seeing this? Anybody know what's going on? -- Chris Adams <cmadams@hiwaay.net> Systems and Network Administrator - HiWAAY Internet Services I don't speak for anybody but myself - that's enough trouble.

Yes, seeing this at least since 6:00am Pacific. -Dave On Thu, Sep 6, 2012 at 11:15 AM, Chris Adams <cmadams@hiwaay.net> wrote:

Yes, I've been seeing it too this morning. ~Seth

Just posted this on mailops. ================= Since about noon central we started seeing email (hosted by GoDaddy) backed up for multiple domains across two IP addresses. Here are the two IPs and some sample logged items: 216.69.186.201 Open (216.69.186.201) Error 1sec (421 #4.4.5 Too many connections to this host.) Open (216.69.186.201) Error 180sec (399 TCP Read failed (Err Code Zero after 180 seconds) 180 sec) 72.167.238.201 Open (72.167.238.201) Error 21sec (399 TCP Read failed (Connection timed out after 0 seconds) 0 sec) It peaked for us around 1 pm Central and is now going down slightly. ================= Frank -----Original Message----- From: outages-bounces@outages.org [mailto:outages-bounces@outages.org] On Behalf Of Chris Adams Sent: Thursday, September 06, 2012 1:16 PM To: outages@outages.org Subject: [outages] GoDaddy secureserver.net SMTP broke? Our CMTS application vendor reported a layer-2 broadcast issue at one of their colo data centers at about the same time. Might be related. I've just gotten email that the issue was resolved. Anyone still experiencing the problem? - Alo On Sep 6, 2012, at 8:52 AM, "Frank Bulk" <frnkblk@iname.com> wrote:

By CMTS do you mean "Cable Modem Termination System", or is it an abbreviation for something else? The GoDaddy issue appears to be resolved because the backlog has been gone for several hours. Frank, Yes, that's what I was referring to. We use 3rd party vendor to manage our cable modems, and the notices I got from them matched up with the times of the GoDaddy issues. ------------------------------------------------------- Alalatoa Aloiamoa Anesi, Jr. Systems Engineer Blue Sky Communications 478 Laufou Shopping Ctr Pago Pago, American Samoa 96799 -- Ph: +1.684.699.2759 ext 1098 Cell: +1.684.258.1098 On Thu, Sep 6, 2012 at 2:44 PM, Frank Bulk <frnkblk@iname.com> wrote:
