Looks like we are having serious trouble connecting to Yahoo mail and from the looks of the NANOG traffic, we aren't the only ones.

Looking at our logs here, not seeing any problem - steady flow of mail to yahoo.com addresses with successful deliveries. Going mostly all through: mta5.am0.yahoodns.net mta6.am0.yahoodns.net mta7.am0.yahoodns.net Chris

SMTP is probably fine. This is most likely IMAP/web access for users.

We analyze our queues hourly, and at 12:17 pm Central we had a good number of messages for yahoo.com in our outbound queues, all because of "connection refused" or "connection reset by peer". ==== spawn telnet mta5.am0.yahoodns.net 25 Trying 98.139.54.60... Yeah, Frank, we're seeing intermittent SMTP as well. My guess is they are going to be unstable for a bit until a huge backlog is cleared. I'm sure the India grid outage today isn't helping them either considering how many users they have there.

Same here on TWC in San Diego. Also, looks like IMAP access is down as well. -- Paul Norton Systems Administrator Neoverve - http://www.neoverve.com On Jul 31, 2012, at 9:59 AM, George Bonser wrote:
