The cut is affecting Qwest services including POTS lines, DSL lines, T1 lines& higher facility services. Qwest is working on splicing and repairing the damaged fiber cable, customers will come up as their splicing is done, estimated repair is currently showing 3:00 PM Pacific time zone.

RCN Metro fiber cut north of NYC

Apparently RCN is showing a fiber cut of their 10GB ring in the White Plains / Harrison area. We have a number of circuits impacted. verizon.net having SMTP issues?

Verizon.net seems to be having SMTP issues. Our e-mail queue is backing up for that domain, and manual connections close by themselves without a SMTP banner. Verizon's site https://www.verizon.net/central/vzc.portal?_nfpb=true&_pageLabel=vzc_help_sy stemStatus&status_type=Mail doesn't indicate any issue. Frank

Intuit / Quickbooks Down

All Intuit properties including QuickBooks online have been down since 7pm last night. Official word from their twitter feed is that they had a power outage at their datacenter. This is also affecting desktop Quickbook users who utilize the QB credit card gateways. -- ~Andy Brezinsky

Mediatemple DNS out again

Media Temple's DNS service was out today for around an hour. Apparently there were severe network latency issues even for sites not served by their DNS. Everything seems to be working now. -Paul
