Just had a BGP session pop on a Vodafone transit circuit in Telehouse North. Session came back but routes are coming through at a rate of about 100 per minute. Get dead air when calling the CSC Helpdesk. Anyone else seeing issues?

Level3 fiber cut near Dallas

From XO support: 8:17 pm Eastern: Level 3 reports that construction and splice crews are on site, and are working on a plan for restoration. As we have additional information, we will advise you as soon as possible. 6:45 pm Eastern: A fiber cut on a 96 count and a 216 count fiber has been located on Level 3?s network and a splicing crew is currently en route. Not a _Network_ outage.

No discussion from me, I will write all I know here, If I had the address of the "discussion" list I would have posted this ther. I have several unrelated (different machines from different operations) examples (some of them repeats on the same machine about 24 hours apart). It appears that Windows Update stalls on something (Pastel Bluescreen, tireless throber) for about 30 minutes followed by a normal reboot, a useless failure dialog and then a reboot, or something and then a reboot. No apparent damage beyond lost throughput. -- "Eppur si muove" From Larry's Cox account.

Level3 / CenturyLink fiber cut - Jackson, MS

We lost an internet circuit that lands in Jackson, MS around 10:45pm CST on Thursday 02/15. Apparently two cables were hit just outside Jackson. The latest update we got from L3/CL is as follows: *** CASCADED EXTERNAL NOTES 16-Feb-2018 14:12:40 GMT From CASE: xxxxxxx - Event It was advised that a 168 and 96 count fibers were fully cut. It was miscommunicated that the cause was a rodent when the damage was confirmed to have been caused by construction. A splice team is onsite however no ETTR remains available at this time.

Fiber cut near Corpus Christi TX

Looks like a well-aggregated section of fiber got cut somewhere in the Corpus Christi TX area yesterday right around 5PM CST. A client of mine has three XE links still down at the moment, no ETR to my knowledge.

WoW Voice Outage

Inbound and outbound voice service through WoW (Wild Out West) is completely down for us in Southeast Alabama. All our PRIs with them went down at 14:10 CST on the dot.
