FiOS issue in NYC Area?

I know it's in the recent past, on 10-22 at 2pm central Telia Chicago <> Level3 interconnect started to experience BGP timeouts. 10/16 Evening Fiber Cut

I know its in the recent past, but this impacted clients and return traffic. Is Microsoft's Skype authentication back-end broken right now?

For me, it’s forcing a new authentication each time, which fails, forcing a password reset, which says it succeeds, but doesn’t. This from the web and from the app, with occasional other crazy errors stalling the process at different points. Anybody else still using Skype, and getting in ok right now? -Bill

Fiber cut in NoVA

We have some Fiberlight circuits impacted as of about 9:45 AM Eastern. Still down. Here's what they said: FiberLight NOC detected multiple alarms between devices in the greater WDC area, including links down between Vienna VA and our WDC datacenters.*Current Status:* FiberLight technician was dispatched to Vienna VA to isolate the issue. Initial readings put the fiber break less than 1km from that location. Troubleshooting is ongoing. *Preliminary RFO:* Fiber cut near 7990 Science Applications Ct, Vienna VA
