So our Frontier (FTR) circuit in Thousand Oaks, California went down
last night around 11:50pm during the storm.
FIOS circuits at employee homes appear to be up so its not local to
Thousand Oaks or on the consumer side.
I hoped this time it was just storm related and/or unscheduled
maintenance and come back up.
However its still down and I suppose we need to issue a ticket.
The last two times this occurred it was a fiber cut near downtown LA, so
obviously there was a queue for the operators to deal with.
Note: The online outage checker only seems to work for Consumer circuits
and reports no issue, which is consistent with
the last two times this occurred. You have to deep into the wholesale
department to get someone.
In both of those cases it was a fiber cut near downtown LA
Anyway, is anyone else affected. Did you get a ticket?
Sincerely,
William Kern
